bill's question:
I want to visit the birth house of Andersen in Odense. Know anything about the exhibits?(give a different answer) .
On the island of Funen ( Hans Jensensstraede, Odense), for a 4$ admission, you'll see his house and adjoining museum. Inside the museum, Andersen's tatty suitcases prove his love for traveling, together with his fire rope, which he never forgot home and hanged out his hotel window for emergency. You'll also find manuscripts of his "The Ugly Duckling" and classics like "Thumbelina", along with letters to best friends (Charles Dickinson, for instance). Andersen was born in 1805, in a shoemaker-washwoman family.
