Restaurant Ida Davidsen in Copenhagen

Posted 1 year ago by posteye in response to sobal's question: Where's that awkward restaurant ruled by the "queen of sandwiches" in Copenhagen? (give a different answer) .

On Store Kongensgade 70 it's the heaven of sandwiches. The menu consists of 178 variations and it's the size of the Dutch telephone book. Sample the pigeon with mushrooms sandwich, tongue with fried egg or the pureed smoked salmon head sandwich. Too complicated for your delicate stomach? There's some tamed sorts too, including choices of shrimp, liver pate and roast beef. All sandwiches come on a glass case, priced at 15$.
